Classics Earning their keep.

She’s a credit to the original owner. I picked it up as you see it, I just did a few minor repairs and intend sprucing up the inside of the cab a bit this year. I think it came from the south of England originally, not sure how long it has been in NI.

“SH” number plate would suggest it originates from the Scottish Borders.

if you ever get chance to drive a mf 1100 or 1135 you will be amazed how tight they can turn, correct 76 masseyman ?

I was brought up driving an S reg MF 1155
that was a real tractor
we had to put tubes in front tyres as if you turned to sharp it pushed tyres off rims and let them down spent its time pulling a 260 MF chopper in the summer side loading into 16ft trailers couldnt pull the skin off rice pudding on grass but on soil it would pick up the front wheels pulling a trailed leveler big wide good year tyres
Still have tyres on rims for spraying golf courses they were nr balled when knew
Heck s reg tractor tyres must be 40 years old

Yeh off pv dobsons of levens cumbria they got three new in (i thin) we had one and the cousin next door had one cannot remember where the other went
Quite surpring that, for an area I wouldn't normaly associate as a big arable area. Maybe I need to look around more when next in the area, or was it more to do with powering forage harvesters as you did.
Only one 1155 was sold into North Lincolnshire, to a large dairy farm near me. It's main occupation was to drive a forager too. It was traded in at a local MF dealer, in the early 90's, and was purchased by a collector from Holland.
A few more of the smaller 1135's were sold around here.
