I know this is a very long shot. My father, Hugh Barr from N. Ireland, won the World Ploughing Championship in 1954, 1955 and 1956. (For anybody who might know him, dad is still with us at almost 96 years old, diminishing in health but still amazing for his age.)
He used a trailing Ransomes plough, which was kept by the company to display after his third win (my dad was asked to retire from competition at that time). The plough disappeared when Ransomes went bust.
We have managed to find the Fordson major that he used for most of his ploughing, but have never been able to trace the plough.
I wonder if anybody has ever come across that plough or knows anything about it?

Come on lads get your thinking caps on, and help the old man out here. Tha Ulsterscot.

I’m sorry, I can’t help you at all with your Dads plough, but I understand entirely the sentiment behind you trying to find it.

We still have my Dads 1967 match plough that he had great success with and I have recently bought a 1980s plough he owned too.

Some of the most memorable times spent with my Dad were standing on the footplate of his MF 165 while he was ploughing.

I hope you have luck finding it soon.

Getting some grass scratching done, hardly making a mark ! Great to see the 1980s alive and well and getting the job done .
And another…… what a treat to be out on a day like today and getting something done without the need for ecu, gps, canbus, or massive depreciation

Took the 8210 and 7710 to a local dyno day today. 82 Put out an impressive 129.7 not bad for a 30 year old tractor that should only be 110, all totally standard not been messed with, 77 On other hand was down a good bit which i sort of already knew. Certainly got a few looks anyway

Is the 8210 turboed ?
I'm assuming the figures are pto hp, standard n/a 8210 is about the 95hp on the pto, that would put the engine at 145hp ish !
