Classifieds and new look to the forum

We are getting ready to launch the new improved classifieds section for TFF, focussing on machinery sales to begin with. This will be done in conjunction with a new look that we think cleans up the forum design that we rushed out when thing got started nearly two years ago.

Hopefully it will all go well but things may get messy as we roll this out so please bear with us while we get it right. Don't be shocked when you log on next and things look a little different!

In its launch form TFF classifieds will offer much more over the old sub forum we had but there is a lot of new features that will still be added over the coming weeks, it remains free to use and there will be no better place for farmers and dealers to list their machinery for sale with 300k visitors every month.

We hope you like what we have been busy doing to try and make the forum better and more useful to everyone. We are open to suggestions to improve it and please report any bugs you may find when you start using it.

Thanks

The Farming Forum Team

Why do the new classifieds not show the user name of the advertiser? Or am I being thick.??

Because for some reason I didn't code it to do that... :) I have no idea why I didn't code it to do that, seems obvious. Adding to the *to do* thank you :)

Alter it to TFF (Responsive) and you'll get this at your top line

I would say when you place the ad you, as the seller, are to stipulate - are they old ads before the option came along - guess the boffs will need to know which one(s) to investigate

spot on - there was already some ads posted before we added the dealer / private option - they will show as private

also it does depend on the seller ticking the right biox when they place an ad, it will be something we have to police and moderate accordingly, the community can help here by reporting ads marked private that you suspect are in fact dealers

Developer taking some time away from it this week to do other things but a raft of further improvements to come still throughout the month

Would it be a step to far if fodder for asale was put in price tracker as a lot are using it so now , not for merchants advertising of course which would need monitoring , it's all over the place at mo , no mater if its a daft idea
