Cliked various batches of lambs from mid to late may and unfortunately have been having a lot of fly strike this past week.
Does anyone else see it not working as well as in previous years?
Spoke to a neighbour and he was also complaining.

We once had a year a while back when it failed and we had lots of bother. Got the manufacturer out and they couldn’t have given less of a sh*t, was hoping for something for all the bother we were having after spending about 2k on the bloody stuff. Had no bother before or since.

I’d guess an application error tbh… I put click on my ewes 2nd week of June and crovect on my lambs last week of may and not had a single case… but I do like too drown them in the stuff probably double the amount your supposed too put on

Which Clik was used? I found I'd taken a bottle of the short cover Clik to a group that needed long cover when the labels were first made stupidly confusing.

We had issues a few years ago, as did two or three neighbours. One of them either reckoned or had been told (can't remember which) that in really hot weather it can dry too quick and not soak into the wool properly.

Certainly fitted the weather that year but we haven't had any bother since.

Need at least 6 -8 hours dry weather after applying to get the best results apparently.

Not in my experience. What sold me of it’s efficacy is when I treated a batch of 100 freshly shorn rams with it in 2007. A couple of weeks later we received 5”of rain in 8 hours and those rams were standing out in, which was akin to being pressure washed. It still lasted the season.

Applied Clik extra to 200 gimmers last year and within an hour of finishing the heavens opened and didn’t stop for the remainder of the day. Not a trace of pink on them the next morning and still no fly issues the rest of the year! A great product. I went to bed fairly unhappy that night and still wouldn’t be wanting to repeat that performance again!

Yep we have had rain ours many a time after being clicked, doesn’t seem to make much odds

I have used Clik extra over a lot of sheep for the last couple of yrs, had a case or two of maggots last yr, and strangely 4 lambs struck in last bunch done, so maybe weather conditions more critical, all sprayed the same, last yr had a chat to firm, told me I should have done them in a race rather than pen, all the off shears sheep ok and earlier applied ok.

Why better in a race, I always think better in a pen so they smear it into the wool and get up the side of other sheep.
