Cochise or Skyfal, March spring wheat

I would think that a variety like Starlight or :):)chiliam would be a better bet in March .
Though some have drilled skyfall late with no problems and respectable yields .
But no two years are ever the same whatever you do it will probably be the wrong option lll:)

Personally I wouldnt drill Skyfall after first week in Feb, I did last year and it did ok but spring oats planted mid March gave a better margin and put me into a better wheat (hopefully) this autumn

I drilled Skyfall last year as a Spring wheat and it did fine, it was a pretty poor year as we know but it was on par with some of my ww, it outdid my SW Mulika. Going to try it again to see if it was more luck than judgement.
I also spun some on in May for the lads to go pigeon shooting during the first lockdown, this grew and headed but I topped it as land was due to go for something else

Out of interest what seed rate did you use and which month did you sow your Skyfall
