Plenty of people were offered it but turned it down for the hope of £400, but no mills were buying at that to my knowledge, yet could be traded against the futures. Not many found a buyer @350 did they

Actually, I think many of us have called it out repeatedly for being the bullmuck that it is.Yet no one was saying this when they drove it to £350/t a short while ago, they add liquidity to a market that sometimes has none, and allows mills to buy when farmers don’t want to sell and visa versa

Market forces in action, same with AN vs Urea,£350.00 was unsustainable too. Shrunk the market massively.
I only trade physical , that's enough for mePlenty of people were offered it but turned it down for the hope of £400, but no mills were buying at that to my knowledge, yet could be traded against the futures.

You could, you ring up merchant, sell physical to them they cover against futures. Like any other sale you would makeI only trade physical , that's enough for me
I know , they wanted £40 a ton for their trouble ,You could, you ring up merchant, sell physical to them they cover against futures. Like any other sale you would make
Maybe some merchants were struggling with margin calls, I know some were, best price I saw physical trade at was £340 when futures were £354.I know , they wanted £40 a ton for their trouble ,
managed one load of fw over £10g but the lorry was well up to weight, but it was sure as hell better than less than £2000 not so long ago despite the increase in costsMaybe some merchants were struggling with margin calls, I know some were, best price I saw physical trade at was £340 when futures were £354.
Without liquidity we would adapt and survive, just need to be better marketeers, the same buyers will exist and the same sellers will exist. I dont like this idea we need themYet no one was saying this when they drove it to £350/t a short while ago, they add liquidity to a market that sometimes has none, and allows mills to buy when farmers don’t want to sell and visa versa
