Maize will continue to be the main driver for world (and UK) wheat prices... as stocks are too low for prices to go down... and maize is already trading at parity with wheat!!! Watch for the Brazilian crop that was planted too late! USDA is at 109Mt, most of the Brazilian analysts are 104Mt max. Sick of looking at last years oats, sold them yesterday for feed, April movement at £130.

This morning, got a phone call from one of the merchants I'd asked a price from. "Have you sold them?!, I've just had someone looking for feed oats, I can give you £138..." .

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
