Combinables Price Tracker

most uk wheat is better than feed wheat and is meeting milling spec of some sort as the French have a much reduced quality and quantity we can export milling wheat at higher prices than feed this has dragged the prices up for users of who need wheat starch plants, cerestar and ethanol plants they have to pay up or see the wheat leave the uk

this will be good for next years harvest prices as we will have a low carry over but if feed wheat gets to high a price we will suck in other feed for livestock

We normally export allot to Spain, this year they have produced more of their requirements themselves due to a good harvest there.

Lots of European malting barley downgraded to feed too. I've had advice to hold old crop feed barley as the sentiment is bullish post Xmas. I don't see how, given the glut of maize unless the £ keeps going down.

So what is the view if Trump wins? Investor flight from Wall St, devaluing the the Greenback and making the US grain export competitive? A drop in the US$ is usually supportive to our futures markets.

Stronger dollar when HRC wins would reinforce your friends advice. Call me indecisive but I have a foot in both camps!
