Offered £300/t yesterday for feed wheat, buyer didn't think there's much left unsold.
Not many prices on here over the last couple of days, is he correct?

Offered £300 w and £280 b so about the same, I've still got a 1/5 unsold.

Just done 2 loads feed wheat £315 July. Big difference only £303 April never seem that much per month.

Are those ex farm prices? They do seem to be covered in the short term but are probably a bit nervous about how much is still out there to buy.

As much as we need every penny to cover the rise in costs we are experiencing at the moment I'm sort of hoping that feed wheat doesn't increase, if it does we may loose our friends who rear poultry and pigs.

Same here, still got 25% to sell .
It appears that my very busy winter doing other stuff plus the fact I refuse to switch data on my phone , live in a bad reception area for mobile signal and hence I am not really following that closely prices back in the winter may pay off this year !

Tbh we need their prices to go up enough to afford wheat at £500/t. Because it wants to be up there if fert is over a grand.

Yet again their fate lies in the hands of the processors and retailers who must realise the predicament producers are in.

Whether they do anything about it is another matter. They seem stupid and pigheaded enough to watch while the golden goose chokes to death.

There will always be farmers. Whether they produce any is a different matter.
Processors that don't process anything, umm well.
To keep going they may have to pay more than now.

There will be a excuse that those contracts will become April/may. Pound a month. Merchants need to drag these sale out!

With regards to Ukraine when i look at the map of the invasion they havent really captured much of the country yet. The Western half is pretty much untouched by the war so far. I'm not sure how much grain is grown in the Western half, but put yourselves in their shoes. If you had the seed/fert/diesel you would plant it. Might not be able to harvest it or might be unsure where to sell it but I bet a lot is still planted.
