If its paper passport just photcopy new passports with sticker on and all possible info prepopulated

I know you "can" do this but when I have in the past there have been issues that ended up costing me / causing hassle I do not need

so nothing will leave until the mafia get around to posting make some new stickers in exchange for their protection racket fees

Can BFU set up an assurance / protection racket audit service
Then we could all take turns assessing RT and basis etc etc
We could sell them as fun days out for farmers

This is actually a good idea. Generally the service we get from these things like nroso and RT is a joke. It’s a joke industry, completely pointless and without any kind of proper scrutiny because it’s a monopoly.

I've been printing them direct from the red tractor portal with FA number and a pretty picture on the passport, so far no problems and less writing, I hate writing the bloody things out

Sent every single load this year on the same reprinted copy both feed and milling to various homes . They either accept common sense or aren't too bothered. I would recommend 👌

I'm sure we could all stand a knock by pulling out of RT to see what happens.Im willing to do it but need everyone else which probably will never happen, there's always someone who would take advantage to make a buck.
Interestingly ,talking to people in the trade there does seem to be significant numbers of sheep farmers leaving which is why RT are trying to make export carcasses assured.
Says it all. RT doesn't exist as a service to the industry. It exists to serve itself.

Why would they go to all the effort of convincing lamb exporters RT is essential? It's so all the non-assured farmers have their markets cut off, and have to pay RT membership. Thank the NFU.

We had the same. We will run out of stickers at the end of this week. Called last Monday morning (15th) and they said yes, no problem, will get some in the post straight away first class". Hadn't arrived by Thursday post so called again "some should have been sent. I'll get another set printed and sent first class". Still not arrived by Mondays (22nd) post so called again "ah, sorry, the sticker making machine was broken last Monday" (they didn't mention this on Thursday!). "I can see now that both lots have been printed and they have definitely been sent first class. You should get them soon." Now waiting for Wednesday 24th post and they are still not here.
Likewise, I know in theory you can just write your number on and the mill can look it up online but in practise this usually results in an an awful lot of hassle and even potential rejections! We have also had issues in the past despite sending a copy of the cerificate.
I also asked them if they could send an extra set of stickers next year as this same situation arises every single year and their reply was "sorry, the computer wont let us do that"!

Tell them you want to make a formal complaint to the complaints department? They must have a record of these 🤣🤣🤣🤣

in theory you are right but I have had trouble in this same situation before

how freking hard can it be to post some stickers

who audits red tractor to make sure they do their job properly ........
Red tractor probably does its own audit. Like the banks used to regulate themselves and we saw what happened with that.
