Impressed how you do this on your moss or whatever you call it. If you grow barley on black round here and it goes flat all that happens is you go ploughing as it pushes up and you spend more time in reverse than going forward.
I had a field of SB completely flat this year and had awful trouble on the first couple of rounds bulldozing as I couldn't get the auto height settings right. In the end controlled the header manually and did a good job by sitting on the edge of the seat and reel going like feck!
Would that be standard behaviour @Phil P ?

Very crop/field can be different, that’s why there’s so much adjustment. I don’t think there is such thing as a standard adjustment and you just have to find a setting that works at the time. In a laid crop is usually one adjustment one way and another going back. I very often end up cutting laid crops at a different angle to what that are drilled so as to get better feed but this wouldn’t work in a ctf system.
In a tricky crop shaving the floor I usually find the auto hight can’t respond fast enough as it doesn’t know what’s happening in the middle of the header.
