Combine grain tank capacities?

In the combine operators manual,if it says in the spec page of grain tank capacity that grain tank holds 10500ltrs, would that be if level full or
when grain tank fullness indicator says it is 100% full?
My question is in connection with trying to get combine weigher as accurate as it can be.
Thanks.

Tank capacity shouldn’t be neither here nor there when calibrating yeild meters , harvested grain in tank By the onboard meter shows x tonnage , actual tonnage over weighbridge Is Y , there will be a calibration factor based on a calculation of actual versus metered divided or multiplied by a factor which you input to the meter to calibrate it . Thereafter it should measure correctly.

A tank full of 12% is going to be lighter than the same at 16% ,,you might have 10500ltrs capacity but a big variation in actual weight.
Do you have to take a moisture sample first to set up the weigher .

I entirely agree with what you say, unfortunately we do not have a weighbridge nearby,so I take a hectolitre sample of wheat which measures 800 (actual weight of hectolitre I took this evening), times that by the "INDICATED 100% FULL TANK WARNING ALARM" tank capacity of 10500 equals 8.4 tonnes. I asked the question in my thread BECAUSE ,if the 10500ltrs capacity is measured by the combine makers as if the grain tank were level full, rather than at "INDICATED 100% TANK WARNING ALARM," I am thinking there is more weight in the grain tank than their really is so not accurate, by a long shot.

I tend to calibrate the on board moisture meter to match the hand held one then use the “test weigh” function, fill a trailer or 2 then enter weight into computer and it gives a calibration factor. I was told today that of the 8280.1 tons delivered the combine read 2% light which im fairly pleased with

I think you will find it is the other way round. The drier the grain, the greater the bushel weight. But at 12% you will get weight loss when selling on a 15% Max contract.
However, your combine tank full at 12% moisture will weigh more than if the grain was 16%.

Measure the volume of your grain trailers and level fill (approximately)

That’s some serious tonnage for 7th Aug!! Especially since it’s only one of your machines!!
