There has actually been two threads deleted in the entire history of TFF.

The second was one about consultancy crop seminars which was started by someone who was so inebriated that they couldn't type at the time.

A superb record to which any other forum should aspire to.

Perhaps I imagined it.

Software does have problems, it not perfect, it might have just got moved to a more appropriate section etc or the thread creator may have deleted it himself
