Compatible plough for 1980 565

I'd go with a 1980's MF 3 furrow straight or MF 2 furrow reversible. They will look good on the 565 but I know others will say they are not as robust as others.

Based on the fact that I've just found a 1976 price list in the office, I'd vote for a Ransome TSR 107 2f reversible with UCN bodies, discs and SN skimmers..... list price £1163. In those days you'd have got 20% off list:cool:. A good plough with loads of clearance, if you can find one:confused:

What's the difference between a 107 and a 102?
Clearances.
5" more point to point
2" more under beam

....and just so @Bury the Trash doesn't feel left out....

EDIT..sorry, writing has come out a bit small. I'll see if I can make it bigger:confused:
EDIT Mk2..No joy - basically all it says is bigger clearances and 102 is 12" or 14" and 107 is 14" or16".

Got to be a mf plough for a mf tractor! A conventional mf 160 or the same reversible with the 794 ferguson bar point heads are you looking for conventional or reversible?

Only trouble with the red MF150 and 160 ploughs was that the parts from Huard were very pricey compared to the proper Fergie ploughs or Ransomes or Dowdeswell.

As regards reversibles a two furrow would be very easy to pull but you would need to find a really light weight three furrow plough for a 565 to lift and handle it.

Do the 150/160 ploughs not come with 794 heads too? I've seen a few at sales same as the older fergie plough heads

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
