Concrete cost.

Has the lockdown had much effect on concrete prices in the last few weeks? Many building sites are still working at the moment so presumably demand hasn't slipped too much and I've seen a few lorries about, just wondered what the latest was?

For our parlour project our local readymix firm came out to look at what we were doing,. Estimated at circa 280 cubes plus 50 panels
The concrete came in at £82/m³. But more importantly to us was the fact that they allowed us to set up a standing order of £3k / month to pay for it. To us this was the real bonus.

M40, few 1000 house developments ongoing, nobody much very local to compete with Smiths, so they dont need to try, etc.
Nearly put £105, but didn't think anyone would believe me!

I found that with Cemex locally for years. Then had a big job so spoke to the local area manager and it turned reasonable.
I always find no matter what the commodity getting to talk to the local rep/ manager you always get a better price than talking to the office
