Concrete grooving

Now I know it's a long time ago but our 130 Fresians soon polished a slab of concrete to the inevitable mirror smooth. Great for scraping out but yes they still slipped occasionally going round the corners.
I did however mull this over
@RWG Contracts and how about scrabbling in lines as if you were mowing with a Dennis?
See the result of your efforts the following
polished concrete st louis year and then perhaps go accross the opposite way. Me I'd still be concerned about removing too much of the top layer hence the caution.
One good frosty winter may wreck the scrabbled area and thus the yard as ice is a powerful force to be up against.

Anyone with experience of this? the concrete in my cubicle shed is very slippery and i need to sort it before winter, was thinking of grooving as the most obvious way to go and wondered if it actually worked or whether there were draw backs with it?

Deep wide grooves are brilliant . Half inch wide and half inch deep jobs like ✅ the grooves that look like a stone saw has been up and down the yard a million times are pointless, not big enough for cows 🐄

https://vermot-grooving.com/works/concrete-grooving/ highly recommend this firm , excellent results

Also though it seems expensive.......so are replacement cows 🐮

I Know this conversation is old but just stumbled upon it. Vermot Grooving offer a scarifying service. They come in with a self propelled machine and can do upto 1000 sq/m per day. Severity of scarification can be adjusted to suit your need. Top quality service and not badly priced.

Can you grind a smooth surface onto a badly finished floor slab?
