We're in the process of buying a pan mixer,
It's not much if any cheaper than readymix but we can do odd bits as and when we want when we have a spare couple of hours.

The best price I could get for cement is £2.60 A bag(£104 t) delivered minimum 1 ton.

Is there anyone on here sell them who would offer a special tff discount? I've inquired with 3 companies 1 was too dear and the other two haven't got any in stock for a couple of weeks.

I tried a firm from a welsh port, and they were still 10p dearer than the local merchant for an artic load rather than just per pallet.

I bought some out of date from tradepoint a while ago, but they haven't phoned me since (n)

@Daniel , if you dont mind me asking, what is readymix in your area? also, whats sand+gravel? im 5 miles from readymix plant, and about 2 from sand quarry, trying to weigh up our options, going to need a lot of concrete in the next few years.

The thing people forget, (i dont know if it happens everywhere) but we get charged for every cube that isnt on the lorry, so if you only need 4cube, you are charged for the 3 or 4 that arent on the lorry, i think it was £17 or 18 a cube last time.

Pass, haven't ordered any for a while.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
