Any more people put any shuttered concrete slurry stores buried in the ground? 1 million gallon Moore concrete store is around £150,000. Surely a shuttered 30mX40mX4m tank in ground would be a lot less?

Bit of a fag packet cal,5m x 1.2 x .150 panels would be £25k
The floor at .200 thick would be £21k

Of course you’d need mesh for the floor and concrete to set the panels,I’d be doing it for under £70k easy.

Think 5mts of slurry is going to put a fair pressure on the wall and if you have earth

/rubble at other side it would put a fair strain in opposite direction when slurry store was empty. Double row of reinforcing mesh and well tied into foundation .Ours was for a silage pit and is just 3.3mtrs deep

How did you build this in the end.
Currently looking at 75m by30. 4m panels. Built to ground level with access ramp down one side.
Next step how do you cover in the future.

Just sank steels in the ground and poured walls, then concreted the floor and a ramp. Could easily roof it if needed

do they want a roof to keep rainwater out or a cover to keep gas in though? That is the big question a lot of us are trying to find out.
Will we have a design a swimming pool style cover that will roll back and forth for mixing etc

I think the cover rather than the roof is the likely answer but don't think natural england know what they want yet.

We have got this slurry problem. when covered how to stir ?? the skin
at the top can get very thick
They can be very gassy kill you with in minutes/Seconds I have herd
of two men being killed minutes What come first your health Live or Death if you want to live get rid of the cows.

What spec did you build? Looking to price building a 100 gal dirty water tank, shuttered. One side above ground one side backfilled. Thinking 8inch steel shuttered 10inch think to cover steels, rebar etc 10ft high but not checked any spec. Do you use something to seal the shuttering joints? Thanks

Yes, as you will see, we are using L shaped panels.

What footings/ floor depth / installing is required for these? Roughly as I know it depends on location. Thanks
