Concrete strength - new .

Going to lay concrete in part of farm yard . How long does it need before light traffic (car, pickup ) and how long before we can venture on it with tractors etc? TIA (6" - 8" with plastic under and mesh )

We have laid concrete on a Wednesday and driven over it with the concrete lorry the following Monday.

Wouldn't dream of it with Cemex, Hope etc though. We use Chas Long with his volumetric mixer. Sets way quicker

Whilst I agree with the volumetric part, how do you know if you haven't cracked the base now and will only find out in 5 years?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
