We have a few Suffolk x ewes but find them a bit soft to farm up against mules. I like them and they are a good sheep but the mule ewes just out compete them even if there’s no real visible competition if you get my drift
I want to up the Suffolk crosses, can produce them our selves so cheaper, better lambs, have less triplets and consistently £20 better cull price.

I could/should run them separately that would probably sort the job out a bit better, it’s just finding somewhere to put these sheep and farm them how I want to. The trouble is when I do this I will wonder what could be done with something better bred. Bought some Suffolk tups off Guardsmill they have got us some of the best Suffolk lambs going I really like them they are more than holding their own price wise against the Texel. I will keep some gimmers always good to buy off someone that can show fat lambs in numbers it never fails to come up with the goods
