My wife’s mother done it when she was 24 and her father went to walk the dog one night when she was 8-9 and never come home (pr*ck) but she married me so obviously doesn’t mind a life full of misery 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
2 of my wife's brothers did too. She found the first one.

I went to ag college with one of them, and that's how I met her.

I know it's a bit of a bizarre thing to talk about, but I think it's good to and will hopefully remove some of the stigma surrounding suicide.

Glad normal discussion is continuing in this thread. My intention isn't too bring the mood down.

We're both of the attitude you've just to get on with things and can't live your life in the past feeling sorry for yourself.

Agree with everything you’ve said there but especially about trying to remove some of the stigma around it

I'd be interested to see other markets put individual breed averages up like that...

I posted 2 reports there and there's only 1 of those 2 markets I'd be taking lambs

Why, it's just bollox, based on guesswork by the auctioneers. It means very little.

@unlacedgecko had the top priced Lleyns last week didn't he, and his Dorpers were just 'continentals', so dumped in the average with other continental lambs.

It’ll not be concrete that’s for sure , I’ve just put a concrete floor down for a pig shed , and that’ll do for now !💰😩
Was thinking 2 inch stone to help muck wash out in the rain.
Concerned Planings etc would go greasy !🤷‍♂️
My main sheep yards are 2” of 40mm drainage gravel. Keep pretty clean in mostweather. I go in with the dung graip every summer and stir the stone up

After losing my lad to it , I agree with what you said especially the last bit although it’s not easy at the moment to not dwell on things

It gives a general mark as to where they are - after the fancy Beltex and Dutch Texels have been removed.

I'm not suggesting it's anything more than a rough gauge
