Confessions of the Sheep/Beef Cattle/Pig Addicts

Every cow should be able to calve every 12 months or so though shouldn't they? I mean slipping a month or so isn't too bad as long as they all don't do it. Some would calve every 10 months if you let them.
I sold 2 eleven month steers this week and coincidentally their mothers both calved this week as well, so that's a gain

Whenever I’ve had a “fancy” type of heifer or cow she’s either died or run barren. Stick to what I know now 😂 I know my place
I went through a wee spell of buying some really smart Angus heifers but generally found they couldn't last the pace and either had a shite calf or scanned NIC the next year. There were a couple of expensive lessons learnt
