Every cow should be able to calve every 12 months or so though shouldn't they? I mean slipping a month or so isn't too bad as long as they all don't do it. Some would calve every 10 months if you let them.

I sold 2 eleven month steers this week and coincidentally their mothers both calved this week as well, so that's a gain

That theme isn’t always true though

Whenever I’ve had a “fancy” type of heifer or cow she’s either died or run barren. Stick to what I know now I know my place

No I couldn’t cope with £500 a day after having no wages for so long previously

It wasn't entirely in jest. The lean leggy frame gives an opportunity to gain some meat before the fat fecker genes take over.

You just need to cross them with a Holstein bull every third time.

If the calves are out of big framey holsteins you can get some size into them By 24m

Don't need to be out of a holstein.just need the right beef cows
