Just getting set up with a new to us shipping container to use as a chemical store its got all the appropriate vents etc and is bunded but is not insulated already we are finding it getting quite warm inside from the small amount of sunshine we have already had which is concerning me as summer approaches hopefully. What are others finding and if they are having the sam problem what have you done to resolve it? fitted a ventilation fan to keep the air moving?

Cheers

We have a chem store that is a bought in container that has been cut down to approx 6 x 10 feet.
Not insulated, some bigger vents than a container but not big, gets hot but never had any resulting problems.
Park it in the shade, insulate it with Kingspan or build a shelter over it.

Stick Kingspan type foil covered insulation board on walls and ceiling, works well, zero power consumption, keeps temperature nice and stable summer and winter.
