Morning all,
I am a 4th year Harper Ag student, researching the motivation for conventional arable farmers converting (or not converting) to organic production systems, and the opinion of organic arable producers on this topic.
If conventional or organic arable producers have five minutes spare, I would very much appreciate your input:

"In 2019, there were in excess of six thousand organic producers in the UK (DEFRA, 2020). However, this shows a decrease by nearly two thousand producers since 2008. Additionally, since 2008 there has also been a continual decrease in the area farmed using organic methods, from approximately 750 thousand hectares in 2008 to 500 thousand hectares in 2018 (DEFRA, 2020). Just 2.7% of the total farmed area in the UK is used for organic cultivation (Yates, 2019)."
Regards,
Fred Scott.
