Convert lorry trailer to tractor trailer

Hi

I just bought an old Blohmenrohr machine trailer. It has air brakes and pull bar like the picture. The height of the pull bar is just fine, but I need to replace it with one that fit tractor hitch. Anyone know of a long pull bar with correct papers that will fit this trailer? No welding!

Anyone know of a hydraulic brakes kit that would fit?

The trailer is only for moving small machines and totalt weight is only about 14000 pounds.

You guys can just weld together some steel ontop of an axel and drive along. Impossible to get anything road legal over here without proper papers of testing etc.

Not really no it has to be done right even if we haven't the strictest of rules, Could you not get a local fabricator to make you a drawbar?

I'm guessing your using a 40mm drawbar coupling on your tractor not a pick up hitch , You'll buy a plate to weld on the the drawbar then a bolt on ring to match it , the pair will cost you around £500 , dennison trailers will sell you what you need, they export all kinds ,

Thanks for the input. Couldn't find what I was looking for around here.

Would like something bolt on with papers, but not too short. It will be difficult to get it through the inspection hall anyway. These people smile at you when they hand you the invoice and the rejection.

We use pick up hitch like you guys. Bought several second hand tractors from your island...

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
