Cooks Windrower Bale Sledge

Hi all,
I’ve just got hold of a cooks windrower bale sledge and it needs a bit of TLC.

Does anyone know what size
the rear tires and front tire are? They’re quite perished so cannot see si,

Secondly, I’m toying with replacing the whole rear wheels... does anyone know where I’d be able to replace these? I’ve had a quick google and Ebay’d it but nothing stands out

This question has been here before and I remember someone thought the wheels could be ex military. Also the tyres were very difficult to remove

Thank you, I dropped these guys a message earlier.

Considering chancing some Ebay ‘hay bob’ wheels and seeing how it goes, I don’t intend to bale a massive amount with it

I am guessing that there could be some camping trailer wheels should be about that size and fit, think it a 25mm shaft, and road tyres might be better

Hi all,
Thought I’d pop an update in, just incase it could help someone out!

I managed to get the wheels apart, amazingly the bolts came undone - sure enough there was some rust in all of them, so i welded in some plates where the rust had got in, gave it a good coat of paint & now they’re back on.
Probably won’t touch the rest of the frame until I know that it actually works, to a degree. Then give it a good coat of blue paint!

For the new tires, I used these:

I also bought some flaps from the same supplier, who were incredibly helpful.

My only reflection point is I should have got tubes with the valves with the bend in them!

I love doing this sorta thing, I did toy with buying new axels and wheels but thought that was slightly too far.

I’m struggling to not Paint and tidy the rest up but until I know it’s functional, I don’t want to go too far?
