Got to be £2.50 really, I'd be happy at that on decent runs, it's a lot less risk than forking out for materials aswell, as long as they're the same quality and close to the field

I was recently quoted £4 for 1000m of clipex stock net with a single strand of barb.

That's cheap, the posts are dear. What spacings? I've never priced to put up, but I'd expect it to be similar to the price of creosote with a bit less labour and burns.

Sorry I should have been clearer. That was labour only. The materials were another £6/m.

We can put clipex up for about £5.50 a metre materials and labour. Every job is different

McVeigh Parker offer a 1km Clipex kit for 3k plus vat. Includes 215 standard stakes, 2 end strainer kits, 6 intermediate strainers, net, 2 barbed and one plain.
So, 3.00 per metre. I've bought it to renew my boundary with the common.

That sounds like a great deal!

Your geting a cheap job then.
it can be done for less but less posts per meter less strainers and cheap wire with less droppers. Cheap jobs always cost more on the long run.

I lack the time, the patience and most importantly, the skill.

I'd much rather pay a well equipped contractor to come and do it to a high standard than spend twice as long to end up with a sh!t fence.

A lot of farms we fence at can’t believe how easy it looks, but we have a lot more kit than just a claw hammer
