My 17 year old son admitted to hospital this afternoon with pneumonia.Blood Sats very low,so he has Oxygen through a tube in his nose.5 day course of antibiotics havent worked.Nearly all of his college mates had flu/cough symptoms before they finished for Christmas. RVI in Newcastle very busy. He was in a chair in a corridor for a good few hours before he got a bed.IIRC, China has a new virus doing the rounds that attacks children

He will pick up a bit after 4 or 5 days oxygen. Yes its contagious, If you are fully vacc'd you should be alright, if not then see a doc.is this contagious ? ive had a cough for over 3 weeks now.
Mrs is on steroids long term and just got in touch with the doc for some AB’sNot sure antibiotics work for this cough.
Need to suggest to the Dr that steroids maybe better.

Keep testing, it can suddenly change 🫣I've been ill for over a month. Started hellish runny nose. Then had this cough for 2 weeks now. Caugh so hard I've pulled a rib nearly sick etc. Got no go at all. Just knackered. COVID test come back negative.
How many of the folk here suffering this cough aren’t vaccinated?Yes its contagious, If you are fully vacc'd you should be alright, if not then see a doc.
As someone said earlier this seems to be hammering the youngsters - probably due to vac status, nasty & serious if it gets a proper hold
