Countax ride-on mower --- attach pin hitch??

My old countax mower C600H has a ball hitch like in this picture (not mine too clean!!) How can I change it to a pin hitch, or better something that has both ball and pin hitches? The ball obviously comes off but not sure how I would get a suitable pin hitch to bolt on. I can see new pin hitch assemblages online but they won't fit the vertically spaced attachment bolts you can see in the picture. Any ideas??

Take the hitch off & weld a bit of 1 1/2" X 5/16" bar with a 1/2" hole in it onto the end of the existing bar. Put the hitch back on & Robert's your mother's brother.

Thanks so much to everyone for your replies. @bravheart thanks for that ebay link, however I think that's the bracket I already have as shown in the picture above. @pycoed I wish I had the gear for welding but sadly not... @Tractortech I think that's the best approach. I did consider drilling holes, I guess I didn't want to weaken the chassis, but I don't really see an alternative, and I guess it will be ok.

You wouldn't weaken that by drilling holes as not able to bend it with the amount traction, and with that I would cut the ball off and do a good copy of the ball & pin type, be a good idea to lift the hight a bit as looks rather low. Used my old 40 plus year old Bolens thinning trees with tractor-grip tyres its amazing how much you can shift and often has half ton on a trailer, but be careful those light duty hydro boxes aren't strong, its a sudden jerk or stop, had a few to repair mostly pulling a roller.
