Covering chicken poops.

Am I supposed to cover heaps of chicken poops? Does that have to be as soon as they are tipped? Can I chop and blow a layer of straw over the top, or fym, instead?

Then yes, sorry! Personally I’d only do it when told to though.

Now the solution i came up with is first put down about a foot deep of compost and make a bund wall like a silage pit out of compost and then as chicken muck tipped i covered it about 2 -3 deep of compost and then when the times comes to spreading just mixed it in a bit and allowed for the compost usually worked at at about the same amount of compost as chicken muck in the heap . Keep it simple feck walking about trying to put a sheet on the stinky stuff . The compost under the chicken muck helps to soak up any nutrients that leach down.
