I’ve been rough for a few days, did a test yesterday only really because we had one in the house and I have it. Think i am starting to improve now. Have heard of a few cases in the area.

Hope she improves soon. Lots of COVID is just like a bad cold.
Thanks for the thoughts, it is strange, always understood Covid was about coughs not runny noses.my wife has tested dozens of times in the past with a cough but always negative before.
funny thing we have not been anywhere to really make contact with people this Christmas so no idea where I picked it up

Didn’t realise people were still testing for it now as it’s just a heavy cold at worst.
There is a lot of people in hospital with it!
why they have not promoted more widely thst it is presenting as heavy cold , i do not know relation was doing delivery work for Tesco’s before Christmas carried o working with very heavy cold , unaware that they could well have had covid. Thought they were doing a lot of older people a good turn by dropping the shopping in :(

Partner and I both had either Flu or Covid. Doris was only a bit under the weather for a few days, but it really floored me, all I could do was drag my self up to scrape out/feed, then back to sleeping in front of the fire, I didn't even feel like eating. Was it Covid? I don't know, but I am still not 100%.

Whats the opinion on the vaccine, I have one due ,not sure to have it or not , I've had 3 , surely we don't need anymore
I had the vaccine last autumn ASAP as I am on the at risk register, due to chest issues, certainly got infected last week but was unaware, so a result I think. My wife had the jab too and was slightly ill but nothing to worry about, has carried on regular duties, keeping me busy :)

Why do people go with the 'had x amount, don't need any more'. Different vaccines give different levels of protection even without evolution of new strains. Some are a one-off primary course only, others need annual or more often boosting.

We vaccinate our cattle for lepto and IBR annually, not 'oh won't bother any more'.
