Covid Vaccine Roll out.

It is so funny that BOBK is so pro the covid vaccine and hates anyone that will or cannot have it yet he himself who is very much at risk of the flu and can have the flu vaccine refuses to have the flu vaccine and thinks that is fine even thou ill people like him with flu could well stretch the NHS to the limit.

You just could not make it up someone thinking like bobk does!

Yes please, I need to know the 'truth'
To see it as the truth, you would have to believe it, think that's unlikely.
Imo.....
The last 18 months is nothing more than an example of human beings acting in self interest combining with the age of the smart phone and information gathering on a grand scale.
There is no conspiracy of people at the top to dish out unnecessary vaccines and amp the harmfulness of a virus.
Politicians do what they should ...court popularity.
People get given the news they want to read, deadly new virus will get you clicks.
Fighting a war makes you popular and binds populations together, gives them a sense of tribal togetherness.
Particularly if there is a uniform, in this case a mask and an enemy the unmasked, unvaxxed.
It's one of the reasons people want the vast majority vaxxed...the current one third unvaxxed is too large a group.
No matter that the vax doesn't stop you catching and spreading the virus, remember when you thought it would?
Remember when you thought, get enough vaxxed and bye bye covid?
Remember when Boris, whitty and co all said mandatory masking doesn't work?
Well mandatory masking does work but not for virus control, just mind control and as a means to identify the enemy.
Covid policies have been very popular, printing, borrowing and handing out 400 billion quid is clearly going to be.
Sadly the gravy train has hit the buffers as an "emergency" can't last forever.
No more money means no more handouts, no more boosting house prices, no more furlough, no more working from home.
If covid was really a deadly pandemic, with roughly a third of the country infected pre vaccine, you would think mortality might be the worst in the last 20 years instead of the 9th worst.

It's about risk assessment, you said you took 18 months to get over a flu infection, if flu did that what do you reckon your chances are with covid?

You would say its because we are a developed nation ,have the NHS and are not a third world country -thats what affects deaths you said!

Anyrood , I think we must beg to differ , I like many others are tired with the whole thread .
Some people need to get another life

The thread could be fine but when every poster with a certain view gets harangued with tittle tattle on almost everything they post it gets pointless. As I said that's not debating, it's stifling debate. The aim seems to be that the only points made are the anti vax opinions.

Agree with some of that, I have been insulted and harangued left right and centre, be nice if people could just debate without resorting to personal attacks all the time.

If you want to debate it then debate it. Just ignore the tittle tattle.

Just my perception of course but what I see on this thread is people losing their arguments and then resorting to personal insults. Now that they have realised that the personal insults aren't having the desired effect, then it turns out it's the manner in which it is debated, that is what is wrong and now they conclude that the whole thread is pointless...

Perhaps it's time to just accept that this 'debate' can't be won? Minds are unlikely to be changed. I don't see why that should prevent anybody from posting relevant content and giving opinion.
