It's the 1-10% who are still scared to death, wearing masks etc that I feel sorry for.
The demasked have little patience for them "look at those idiots still wearing masks, outdoors!"
They want them to join in with the new rules of the herd, no more masks, restrictions are bad/pointless blah blah blah

We were told constantly they were safe on every mainstream media outlet here is one example from the lady in questions employer . You can even listen to him talking nonsense about the immunity it provides at the end .
That video is from December 2020, when the uk was about to begin roll out. The Prof interviewed makes no baseless claims about the Pfizer vaccine. What I do draw from the video clip is that the comments section is riddled with antivaxxers posting their usual nonsense.

You know how the government panicked and looked to a bunch of behavioural psychologists to attempt to spread fear in the population to handle a respiratory virus , they got carried away and instead of really helping the situation they made it worse by spreading the misery and pain across virtually the whole nation and in the process damaged the NHS , the economy and a good chunk of the general public take note sage individual now admitting lockdown was a disaster .
I know that you are influenced by antivax and covid denial sources. Spreading fear is their stock in trade. Fear of vaccines, lockdown conspiracy paranoia about control comes from such sources.

Citing Florida as a success story is from the covid denier's handbook. De Santis denied that children were hospitalised with covid, choosing to describe their illness as something else. He locked down the State late, opened too early, and strained the Florida health service as a result. Fortunately for the population of Florida, enough of its citizens took the vaccines, and lessened the impact of his policies.

There's lots of irrational stuff going on in some people's heads, my brother in law is a covid denier in spite of his health status meaning he could well suffer badly from it. He won't take the vaccines because he doesn't believe in them due to things he's read on the internet, he's had the flu jab for years but will no longer take it as it's not safe.
He thinks covid is a conspiracy, it won't harm you, refused to wear a mask as he was exempt, all the usual things we've seen over the last couple of years as he reads and believes the things he wants to believe. If you question it he says it's all out there so it must be true, tell him it's been fact checked and proven to be false he says yeah they would say that as it's all a con.
We all have opinions on it all but filling people's heads with the type of stuff that he reads and the dubious links that get posted on here will have killed far more people than lockdowns, masks or vaccines. It's the same with vegans, I was reading a conversation last night where a vegan was making all sorts of claims, calling people liars etc and then deleted all their comments when faced with irrefutable proof that they were talking nonsense.
Why do people have to spend all their time doing that? such a negative way to live their lives.

A friend who bowls with me is 67 and as fit as can be (apart from excema ) and refused to have a vaccine.
He told us how he was very very rough with persumed covid for 2 -3 weeks ,and laughed about it.

My son was chatting to him ,when he came to look at a job ,and he let on , that he had been blue lighted to hospital at three in the morning ,he was that bad!

You, on the other hand don't read what you want to believe.
Interesting words though ...you believe a large number of people have died who have chosen to think for themselves and not get vaccinated. A few hundred healthy under 60 year olds have died within 28 days of a positive test. a percentage of those were unvaccinated, some were before vaccines available, some may have been "influenced" into not having the vaccine, some may have been saved if they had had the vaccine.
It's a very small figure, however well you think vaccines work.
Over 65s only to have vaccines from now on is the new government plan. Funny that

No problem with people choosing not to get vaccinated but I do have a problem with them trying to influence vulnerable people like my BIL to not protect themselves.

The roll out of boosters (some 4th vaccinations, some 5th) has begun. They are offered to all over 65, people who have compromised immunity, and others who are in vulnerable groups.

Please do read about this. There's no Plan other than to ensure the health of the population against a novel virus.

There are people who suffer various degrees of health anxiety, and other anxiety states. Covid has highlighted to the wider public that their condition exists. In many cases, it is part of the category of hidden disabilities. It's maybe worth bearing in mind when noticing that someone prefers to continue to wear a mask or visor the next time you are out and about.

The pandemic is not over, alas. I'm in the set that wishes it were, but there's still a way to go.

As I've already said the people still wearing a mask in needless fear are the ones I feel sorry for.
There is no plan by politicians other than to be popular, that's what this has all been about.
Going to another non virus covid funeral next week, former employee , mental health suffered in lockdowns went downhill from there, hung himself two weeks ago.

It proves the point being made this was the info spouted continually

I didn’t say it was a success story I said it had better outcomes than many other states . As for straining the Florida health service look at the headlines our nhs is strained most winters and when this came along it was inevitable it would be again .
im influenced by what I’ve seen and now the damage done by the actions taken and the lies spouted

I don’t think we have said on here for aged and vulnerable or anyone not to get vaccinated think I’ve said it’s up to the individual and it shouldn’t be under threat of losing freedoms or forced into a state of fear that your only protection is the vaccine there are many positive messages which could be put out to lift the general health of the population and covid could have been the driver of that .

I was getting at the type of stuff my BIL fills his head with from the internet in general more than on here although some of the links that appear on here are probably the same.

And this is the problem now many people realise what they have done and again they think we have short memories which allot of us certainly do . Will we learn the lessons for next time tho it’s why I mentioned the swine flu from early 2000,s people trying to install fear and panic to make money just look at the stupidity of china we weren’t that far from that and the fact people motivated themselves to protest across all countries probably let governments see they were going to far thousands on the streets week after week across European city’s the msm tried to hide it by not broadcasting it the ordinary people knew what was happening was wrong and we need to be thankful to places like Sweden , Florida etc for showing lockdown for what it was .

Unfortunately that is the internet we have all watched the stuff you are on about but the truth is in the middle ground somewhere hard to tell exactly where when your government and opposition are a bunch of lying cowards
