Is there a rotating brush that will work alongside tailpaint successfully? The type with the 2 brushes, working vertical and horizontal, could the top brush be removed to only allow the flank to be cleaned?
It can make interpretation difficult but not impossible.
The way the brushes work causes the hair to form certain patterns which are different to rub marks.
Also the paint/chalk at the root of the hair will probably still remain plus the paint/chalk will be turned to dust but still either side of the thurls.
Don't be afraid to be liberal with whatever you're using. If a cow is being mounted by another 650kg cow several times then it's coming off her tail head regardless!
The brush cows will tend to be dry and dusty whereas bulling cows will have sweat marks.
We have had one of these for over 12mths now Gimbal - Cowcare Systems
Our Rms technicians says it make no difference to the tail paints and their results stand testimony to that
Just get the height right so that it won't run level on their backs, keeps the cows much cleaner and they really enjoy it
