And rightly so. Has can someone in such a position know so little and say “facts” like this.

He hasn’t even had the decency to delete his tweet. In fact he has doubled down and re-tweeted it.

I just hope the farmer of that field comes forward and says it was direct drilled.

i know drilling is a farming term that most of the public don’t know, but they do know the difference between planting and ploughing.

I did suggest to @Guy Smith on here some time ago that he should be locked in a room with Craig Bennett (then at FoE) and not let out until the pair of them had a common understanding that the most environmentally benign diet was a UK produced one.
Guy replied that he didn't think he (Guy) was important enough. Which was a p!ss poor response. Which pretty much sums up the problem; we don't want to work with the environmental movement, we prefer the lazy route of standing at opposite sides of the field shouting at each other.

This is his job description

Overall purpose of the job

To provide inspirational and authentic leadership, playing a central advocacy role in the promotion and representation of The Wildlife Trusts.
Bringing together the voice of the movement for maximum impact of collective goals; a visionary and collaborative leader who will take the movement and its people forward through strategic development and collective governance,
Ensuring that The Wildlife Trusts is recognised as a high-profile champion, steward and leader for the natural environment in the UK.

Can we assume the council of trustee’s will be bringing him to task of failing spectacularly to do the above. Of course we can’t.

Can't win. Stop fighting. The value in salaries etc of these eco nuts dwarves what we earn. UK productivity would increase if we wilded the lot then these f**kers could go get actual jobs.

If only UK farmers had an effective, national organization with loads of highly paid professionals and money behind them that represented them and had the backbone to not stand for such rubbish or even take legal action when appropriate ..................................... oh :(

not much said on twitter matters at all as reach outside of faming is small

But why would they waste resources on something that doesn't matter as the reach outside of farming is so small?
