Had two really good days combining (Friday/Saturday) wheat coming in at 12.9 - 13.5 % MC... Those pictures of the Eastern counties remind me of the various "wash-outs" we have had over here in the west and growers in the east wonder what we are moaning about...tomorrow is not looking too good though..:(

Is it 'crappy'? I suppose it depends on your point of view. I put a cwt/ac of CAN on most of the grassland (first N on a lot of it this year) in the last few days, and a bit on the brassicas that have had one grazing, just ready for the splash that's coming on nicely now. Might even broadcast a bit more clover seed on if it stays wet for a few days. Hoping to build up a nice wedge of forage going into the Autumn.:)

Spring Barley is just sprayed off to tidy greens up, but 10 days to a fortnight off, so can't do much about that anyway. I do feel sorry for some of you arable boys though, having had your annual month's work disrupted.
