At the moment our agronomist emails a PDF recommendation through, I pick it up on my phone, fill the sprayer as directed and apply it.

The PDF sheet has columns for recording date, conditions, operator etc. The problem is as its PDF it isn't easy to edit, so I then have to scrawl down the facts on a bit of paper and try not to use it, or make a not on my phone, then when back in the office, print off the recommendation, add the details and put it in the folder.

As i'm doing a lot more spraying next year I want to simplify this, so what do others do?

I looked at importing the PDFs to Evernote which would sync them back to the office, but the text editing function seems pretty crude looking at youtube.

Get the recommendations sent out as an excel file which would be more easily edited, then share the files back to the office through dropbox?

Not too keen to subscribe to something simply to do simple record keeping, want a cheap solution done from a phone or old ipad.

Why not use Google sheets (Google's online spreadsheet) or Google Docs that both you and your agronomist both have access to online. He just puts the spreadsheet or document there online and you can access and update from anywhere.

You just need to set up the permissions so that you can both access and edit.

Just a thought!

Down load the Adobe sign and fill app and fill spray sheets with that then email complete sheet to office

Just tried this app out and it works a treat, thanks. Too fiddly on a phone but excellent on an iPad, think I will have to try and get a cheap one on eBay after Christmas when people are selling off their old ones, put a case on it and leave it in the tractor.

Yes it works well the thing to do is space bar across to the next box you want to fill. otherwise if you click on each box it puts it down as a new entry and it can become quite slow and clunky

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
