Technical seminars focussed on those subjects will run throughout both days, delivered by the UK’s leading industry experts. We are proud to announce the new headline sponsor for CropTec 2014 is Makhteshim-Agan UK (MAUK). The company is the fourth biggest agrochemical manufacturer operating in the UK and part of the world’s largest off-patent player in the industry.
MAUK’s headline sponsorship of CropTec is indicative of its innovative approach to crop protection, says Lisa Harlow, the firm’s commercial director. She explains as the flow of new agrochemical molecules slowed to a trickle in the past decade, the market share of off-patent products grew rapidly.
They now account for more than 75% of global agchem turnover, with MAUK’s parent company, Adama Agricultural Solutions taking the lion’s share through its 50-odd subsidiaries. “The boundaries between patented and generic agrochemical companies are blurring. Any company wanting to provide real value to distributors, agronomists and farmers and to compete effectively in the future needs to break away from the pack, adding value to drive it forward. “Our involvement with CropTec will enable us to explain directly to farmers and their advisers just how our 120 formulations can make a real difference on-farm.”

CropTec will be held at the East of England showground,Peterborough.
The dates for 2015 will also change to ensure we do not clash with Agritechnica.
