Along the top of the page it clearly says -
Don’t invest unless you’re prepared to lose all the money you invest. This is a high-risk investment and you are unlikely to be protected if something goes wrong.

Looks like the £100,000 is what people have "pledged" I guess in the cold light of day some may decide not to part with their cash

You have to be someone first. Seen it happen years ago when a well liked and well known farmer crowd funded something for their farm and it worked. Then another farmer tried it and she fell flat on her face, twice. Like Clint Eastwood said, know your limitations.
