This year nothing seems to phase them.
Have got gas guns, scarecrows, inflatable scary man, portek plastic crows hung up, dead crows dotted about etc.
Shot one with the rifle yesterday, and it's mate came straight back to have a look. Normally if you shoot one they clear off for a while.

Shot one or two and tare them up, head here, one wing there, other wing over there, just scatter the body parts about, they will circle over head and slowly drift away, and will not return.
This only really works with rooks, carrion crows will in time return.

Scarecrow in hi viz coat. Must be wearing a hi viz coat or jacket and tie rustly supermarket carrier bags to his hands. Tin foil face. Bright glinting slight noise keeps them off hear and the occasional banger rope in the hedge bottom. Gas guns useless.

They are their usual beligerant selves here, shift em from one end of the field, they hop off to the other and vice versa, or the next field and then back 30mins later

The problem with crow controll round here is the nest in the tall trees round the village and on the village nature reserve so no one can controll them when the young leave the nest before they fly

need to cultivate the idea of 4 and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie natural organic food !!
