Custom made gutters

Hi,
Our workshop which is a portal frame building needs new gutters. The brackets are good just need gutters to fix in them. Its a 1960/70s building with asbestos gutters, and so brackets aren't suitable for plastic gutters. The only thing I can think is there might be somebody who can make gutters to fit - galavanised steel maybe.
Does anybody know of a company who does this or any other suggestions. ?

Half round asbestos gutters?

I've bought steel replacements from Thomas Panels & Profiles. Very thick, galvanised, and then painted to goosewing grey (the only colour they do). Look smart, fairly simple to put up and should be trouble free.

Are you sure plastic won't fit in current brackets, I changed some old asbestos for plastic and brackets were fine. If not wouldn't it be easier to fit new brackets for off the shelf gutter rather than custom fit for old brackets?

https://www.trimformfabs.co.uk/ had this company make a profile to suit my existing old asbestos gutter brackets very pleased with the gutter. Am pretty sure thomas panels and profiles offer this service too.

not sure where you are but try R J Barrington in Leominster or Guttercrest in Oswestry, both make bepoke gutters

Marley eternit make fibre cement gutters (the asbestos replacement) and all associated fittings. Search for fibre cement gutters.

Worked out £250 for 5 x 3m lengths, stopends and outlet.

We have pressed steel gutters on the newer sheds, so much better than the plastic.

Agreed. I'd never have another plastic gutter on the place.

I've used plastic deep flow gutters onto old metal brackets on atcost sheds and then use metal cable ties to fix them around the brackets

I have put in galv gutters which are great till the galv starts to come off. I much preferred the deep flow plastic but that won’t fit.

Its the joints on the fibre cement stuff that I can't stand, they always end up leaking.

Yes but it never seems to make a decent job of it. You've got those holes drilled right at the bottom of the gutter and if enough sealant doesn't get into the hole and around the bolt, you get this constant drip drip from the bolt. All the leaky asbestos gutters I've got all leak at the joints.

They are long lasting but I know what you mean about the joints dripping we have the same problem.

I used twin wall drainage pipe , cut it in half with circular saw6 meter long so not many joints quite cheap, been up 15 year trouble free
