just trying to gauge where I should be selling at

Fleckvieh x bulls

Blue heifers

Blue bulls

All decent calves so far ranging from about 30-50kg planning to take to 30-40 days if worth it. Anyone sold any of the above recently?

So that should mean your getting a fair price but they will be putting they're cut on top and someone else is still buying them from them?
As an average we are seeing a benefit of £30/£50 over what we were getting at market and my calves dont very often stay here over 21 days, when you sell through a sales medium somebody will always take a cut. But I can get alot of jobs done on a friday instead of being at market

Blue bulls around £320/370 50kg+ 2/3weeks
Blue heifers £260/300 50kg+ 2/3 weeks
Buitelaar.

On the current trade if they are smart you need to be getting £300 for heifers and 370 for bulls as a min..

Weaned Blue bulls at 16 weeks are now around the £530/550 mark, other breeds around the £500 mark.

Saw some utter shite BB bull calves sold the other day and they made £220 ( 10 days old )

Trade mostly being pushed by dealers!

I could be pushing the bulls toward £400 but would need to keep them another 3 weeks and milk alone at 30ppl would cost £65 for three weeks so I'll keep giving them away I reckon and let someone else tip the milk down them.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
