Dairy X growing cattle ration

Wanting to feed a mainly silage based ration with minimal concentrates involved. Does anyone on here do this? I’ve heard of some folks feeding a silage/straw/wheat syrup/barley ration but I’m just asking if anyone does a similar ration?
I’m wanting to keep the cattle indoors all year simply because I have the shed space but not the land to graze but have available silage

Total non starter cost wise if you are keeping young cattle in all year around.

If you have to do that then red clover silage with some crimped barley/ minerals/ bicarb is the way to go.

But when you do your sums it wont stack up unless doing something like barley beef bulls and even then the margins are wafer thin!
