The chassis number should be printed on a plate mounted on the mudgaurd behind the seat. It is also stamped on the block just below the alternator.
If you want an age related plate, you will need to go to the DBTC club and get a ltter of date from there. ( they charge a small fee and are not the fastest responding)
You will need to download the registration documents to fill in from the DVLA . If it is an import , you will need to prove VAT was paid

If it's not below the alternator, look on the front extension casting,might need to remove the bonnet to see it.
