I knew it wouldn’t take long for more cases of this to appear after Farage blew the lid off the can of worms. I wonder how many of those on here who were openly quite chuffed that it had happened to someone they despise are still as comfortable about the bank’s definition of “politically exposed”?

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

And you think any government is not implicit in this crap if they can prosper from it as individuals or as retaining power as a party, despite the noises being made by our present government about taking action?
I wouldn't be surprised if the present administration ain't complicit already.
I said the other week that there is far more to go into this despicable business that Nige started digging into.

They should have been let to go to the wall in 2008. Maybe then we would have a banking system less dependent on and obsessed with political posturing, and possibly even a functional housing market.

The fallout from doing that would have rivalled, maybe even exceeded, that of the Wall Street crash of 1929 and ended up costing the taxpayer even more than it did.

Personally I would have settled for those ultimately responsible (both senior bankers and certain politicians) being hung, drawn, and quartered. Pour encourager les autres, and all that. Sadly none of them have been held to account 😡

But it could be the tip of the iceberg , all well and good if initially it doesn't effect you , but when it does it will be to late , where the f##k is this country heading👎
Down the woke toilet by the looks of it. Imo it will only get worse until hard times put an end to it. Probably need a major war unfortunately, "cost of living crisis" certainly won't cut it

Glad I am a farmer............... not sure my traditional values and language would ever last in a 9 to 4 job !!

Gun clubs and hunts. Both divisive hobbies that may well take place in the countryside but don’t actually align with agriculture that much. I wouldn’t be that bothered if both were banned, tbh. Farming would be the better in many ways if it didn’t associate itself with entitled nobs and wannabe soldiers.
Wasn't there a guy in Germany in the 1930 's who sort of achieved quite alot of rather radical things on his personal agenda in his lifetime by systematically making life difficult in unpleasant small ways and gradually expanding on this for certain minority groups - with the aid of collective ingnorant HATE ?

Haven’t seen a Hitler reference for a while - well done!

Are you really trying to compare objection to a rich person’s hobby with the holocaust? Sorry but no - there are certain legally protected characteristics but “those who want to dress up and ride horses over other people’s land” isn’t one of them.

Who's land?
Taking it with you are you?
You may have a right to occupy it.
Others will have other rights.
Be thankful for what you have.
