Deal Done!??

One of the biggest risks (and I've seen it at first hand with DEFRA's current "consultation" on livestock transport and in the truly disgustingly opaque Gov quango FAnGR @topground ) is our own team of Civil Servants will continue to gold plate and adhere to EU regs
FAnGR display an arrogance that is breathtaking and they are completely unaccountable and anonymous. Come the revolution brother, heads on Pikes!

So, how do leavers feel about the deal? I've been out all day so only just heard. It seems promising from what I have heard with the key points checked off. Has Boris sold us out on anything?
Ditto, came in once and s*d all had happened; impossible to say if it's any good, yet... from what has been reported the fishing has been kicked down the road in two phases, ag' was settled outside the deal, to the questions are only about what is mutually accepted and governance.

I've got loads to do today and tomorrow is obviously busy, so I guess I'll be studying the 'deal' in the odd spare minutes - if it's been released. (Perhaps they'll be nice and not release it until next week...)

As I said elsewhere, its FAIR for what it is. But its thin.
Looking at the details seen so far, will anyone in the UK be really happy?
I think its better than no deal and that's good but really, everyone on both sides have lost.
Good luck

My main concern is around the level playing field. There is this mention of independent arbitration. We'll have to wait for the full detail but it seems a good deal on the surface. Wait and see I guess.

Im sure there's still an odd boat or two that operates that way Neil, so as your still young; 'dont look back in anger' after packing. Bon voyage 😘

Obviously said entirely in jest, take care and happy Holidays'

Telling me to p*ss off isn’t any better if you wish me Happy Holidays.🤣

I’m not as young now (obviously) and I can feel the fire in my belly is starting to die down.
Part of the attraction would have been a bought farm over there vs fighting rent reviews over here, not just the greater appreciation of Ag over the water.

Happy Christmas to you too though. Looks like a nice, dry day for moling.👍

Yes, I can fully understand the outright owning vs the slave to rent / mortgage.

Enjoy some quality family time with no input about the news, life will go on. Take care 👍

They (the SNP) are already moaning as they want to gain Independence and re join the EU. Devolution was a bad idea.

They won't get in with their deficit. They are too poor. They've been sucking all our dish since Darien. In the style of Kevin Keegan, I'd love it, love it, for that sour faced Jimmie Krankie to explain that all their free stuff is being cancelled to afford to join the EU. England set to be a national Freeport and home to international crime money.

A sobering independent summation.

Brexit is finally done. It will leave the UK poorer

FFS, it's Christmas Eve - take a chill pill and leave things be for tonight at least..

Let everyone enjoy some quality family time.
It's an important time for a lot of folks after this shitter of a year, so please desist and allow people some quality time with their close ones without your constant negative diatribe...

Seasons Greetings
