Dealing with aphids from green bridge

Due to drill winter barley into cultivated spring barley stubbles which have quite a few volunteers growing. Have noticed a number of aphids on those volunteers.

What is the best strategy for dealing with those aphids?

The aphids will be something for the slugs to eat later on !!! Maybe a Cross slot would be a better choice for the dry conditions this year ! It would be interesting to see @dontknowanything repeat his trial in these concrete like conditions!!

There's plenty enough moisture now for direct drilling. Have been through these fields twice with the Terrastar and have then rolled them. Have created a nice seedbed with a decent amount of tilth. Aiming to drill straight in now.

All the agros over here want minimum off 1 month of brownout before drilling any cereals....certain covers maybe ok like lucerne etc but seeing what is done with covers in UK goes against this...

I have work to do in this area...beans stubble makes it easy but pasture or oppurtune grazing crops like barrasica.

Ant....

Here's some aphids hanging out on a vetch. I think this would horrify most people but I think it's probably not an issue

50ml of colt or a good insecticide applied 24 hours before drilling or plough ,you do the sums ??
