It sounds stupid, but I wish I didn't think as much. I'm beginning to think it's not a good trait. Before I go away with a machine I go through every eventuality of what could go wrong. To the point I'm physically sick.Now is probably a great time to explore, a lot of change going on in the world, and you're bright enough to learn on your feet
sometimes it's good to get out of a thinking job and into one that makes you work, and then out of that into something technical again
speaking as someone who was also "very bright, but just coasts along" life can be really fulfilling if you make it so, it isn't a rehearsal
Other people who help us can put them away with not a worry in the world. Highly delighted. A lot to be said for ignorance is bliss.
Remember we had a guy come to help us who was previously manager of a large dairy farm. He was delighted when we put him to pressure wash sheds. Because he didn't have to think.
