IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Stephen W Moore LTD is pleased to announce an agreement has been reached to acquire Johnston Gilpin & Co LTD, John Deere’s agriculture dealer for the east of the province and turf care dealer for Northern Ireland and Donegal. The acquisition will be completed over the coming weeks.

Stephen W Moore LTD will be acquiring the entire Johnston Gilpin & Co LTD business, including Ground Control.

Johnston Gilpin & Co LTD will operate as normal but under the new ownership and management of Stephen and Alison Moore. This development will allow continuity for the Johnston Gilpin team and customers while continuing to build on the team’s hard work and improving the service customers receive.

Acquiring this business shows Stephen W Moore LTD’s total commitment to both the agriculture and turf industries. The agreement consolidates its standing as one of Northern Ireland’s leading machinery dealerships and positions it perfectly to maximise the potential of both businesses.

The combined dealerships operating from Coleraine and Lisburn will give greater security and the ability to invest in its team, facilities and technologies so that it can go further in supporting its customers’ businesses, delivering an exceptional service.

S W Moore Dealer Principal, Stephen Moore, said: “As a family business, we assure our customers that our teams and our customers in both locations will always remain at the forefront as we aim to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

“This is an exciting time as we prepare to almost double the size of our business. We have known the McConnell family and the Johnston Gilpin group for many years.

The whole Johnston Gilpin team has done a fantastic job serving agriculture and turf care customers in the territory. It is clear we share the same core values around delivering unrivalled customer service. We look forward to integrating the two businesses under the S W Moore banner.”

John Deere’s Division Sales Manager, Brian D’Arcy, said: “This acquisition will create a single, larger dealer in the counties of Antrim, Derry/Londonderry, Armagh and Down. It is a great fit for John Deere’s network and the new, larger business – backed up by our support – is an extremely strong proposition for our customers in Northern Ireland.”
