Destruction of NUM3

What sort of rates of 360 g/l Glyphosate will destroy an NUM3 cover crop? Would it be better to roll it before spraying to help the plants take up the Glyphosate better ?

Depending how well established if Clovers present Glyphosate alone may not provide a satisfactory kill - though that is open to your personal opinion.

4 l/ha with water conditioner would be my suggestion ( unless your in a soft water area )
Clover will come through that but will be well checked. That's not necessarily a problem, in moderation, as there will hopefully be some N fixation happening. Unlikely to come through typical autumn/spring herbicides.

If all the legumes do similar, not so attractive. There will be be an off label solution.

Would topping be a useful option to reduce the biomas to kill ?
If it doesn’t cover it up.
I’d have thought it best to leave as big a top as possible to get it to take the chem in but I’ve tried killing NUM3. It will need more than glypho anyway. It doesn’t kill clover in grass leys here. I’d have thought Kyleo was the thing. But it won’t quite kill cranesbill here.

the hard to kill clover will not be too big a problem with early established wheat

i find that slugs are a bigger problem where they have nothing to eat other than the crop that is planted
if wheat seed is planted with soil around it slugs will eat the clover and be happy and then once the wheat is well established it is past any yield damage
slugs with no other food keep hunting till they find the wheat

planted on the green into big thick osr volunteers the slugs do not find the wheat
the same can apply to clovers
